Twenty-six years have passed from the Turkish Invasion and the beginning of the Illegal Turkish occupation. We, as the Cultural Society "TAMA", the "Vow", request from all civilized nations and organizations who care about Human Rights, the respect of the Rights of the 27 Children, missing since the Turkish Invasion in Cyprus. These children, all under the age of 16 years, the youngest being only four months old, are among the hundreds of persons, men and women still missing since the Illegal Invasion.

We demand to know what happened to our children. We have the right to know, we have a right to our feelings. We want the right to have our lives given back to us. These parents, have never forgotten their children, have never stopped believing they are alive, have never ceased hoping. Especially those of you that are also parents, would understand that the greatest present for these parents, still stranded in doubt, not knowing if their children are alive somewhere or not, would be for you helping us initiate the necessary procedures, towards finding out at last what happened to them.

Turkey, who occupies illegally almost half of our island, is not willing to help and does not allow searching in the occupied areas, so as to find what happened to our missing children. It is unbelievable that at the dawn of the 21st century, the fates of these children should still be undetermined. If children are the future of a nation, we are being deprived of ours, as well as our past. "Not knowing", is an endless torture, which has continued over the last 27 years.
