Speech by Dr Vasso Papavassiliou presented at the 25th International Congress of Pediatrics-Athens 2007 in collaboration with Professor Constantopoulos-President of the Congress 

Distinguished delegates,

First of all we would like to express our sympathy for the victims of the fires that devastated most of the forest areas of Greece.

Perhaps this tragedy, places a special importance on the study of the psychosocial development of children in mountain and rural areas in general, since, a month ago, most of the forests in Cyprus, were burned as well…only a few months after the completion of the study.
